Condensed milk painting. It doesn't drip, and leaves behind a shiny, glossy picture!

This is the BEST play dough recipe you will ever find. The recipe on this link is for a small batch - here is the classroom size batch, and we use a bit of baby oil in it as well to add a really smooth and soft texture. Parents rotate and bring us new play dough every week. The recipe: 4 cups water, 4 cups flour, 1 cup salt, 2 tablespoons cooking oil, 4 teaspoons cream of tartar, food coloring. Combine ingredients. Cook, stirring constantly, until most of the moisture is absorbed. Store in a covered container or Ziploc – does not need refrigeration. Add a bit of baby oil to get a softer texture.

There's no wax, no wick used or needed. Nature's own fuel and I think it's awesome.

What a great birthday idea! One dollar for each year in separate balloons to pop them after cake and presents. Bigger bills for bigger "kids"....From Increasingly Domestic blog.

Blowing the perfect bubble depends on equal parts science and magic. With a few twists of wire, you can make fantastic bubble wands and spend long, lazy days practicing your technique. The best bubble solution is 10 cups water to 4 cups dish-washing liquid, plus 1 cup Karo corn syrup.

A creative way for kids to use the stones they stumble across is to turn them into animals, people, or objects.

Great for a game of tag on a scorching hot day, squishy sponge balls are summer's alternative to snowballs. Made from kitchen sponges that are cut up and tied together, they last longer than water balloons and are softer and splashier than regular balls. Best of all, after tossing them around, the kids will be as clean as the kitchen dishes.

Kalleen Wright I want to know if this really works, I'll let you try it first
Erin Woodward I am skeptical but willing to try. Doing it this weekend. I'll let you know!
Erin Woodward @Kalleen Wright, don't waste your time. The end result looks like food colored salt. No glitter to be had.
Kalleen Wright LOL, I was thinking that was what would happen. Thanks for saving me some time.
