Time out bottles! Water, glue and glitter..mix and add until it takes 5 minutes to settle. Watching it settle relaxes them, and you don't have to set a timer! Brilliant!!

Kelly Jaeger Did you see the Kool-Aid Play Doh recipe? It used a lot more flour than called for (don't know if a substitution would work?) but turned out really pretty!
GENIUS: Put velcro dots on the ends of popsicle sticks. Kids can make letters or shapes over and over again.

Paint pages, make it easy to say “yes” to painting, take them when you travel, hikes or picnics! All you need is some watercolor paper and small squirt of watercolor paint (don't need much water color paint goes a long way plus it won't stain clothes, pretty much washes out of most everything). allow a few days to dry. Then when you are ready to paint just add water.

Create A Family Adventure Journal...this was for nature trips but I think it's a great idea for any family activity, field trip, and/or adventure! When kids can write, they can include their own memories/thoughts.

Fetching pins…
Kelly Jaeger I tried this and it didn't work at all. Made it with clear soap instead but it is a little too viscous. Let me know if you get it to work and what you used!
