Freeze green onions in water bottles - shake out the right amount and return to the freezer! This is great! You always have to buy so many green onions and recipes usually never call for more than 3 stalks. So. Smart.

GREAT idea for school lunches-- make smoothies, freeze them, then put them in their lunchboxes frozen (they will thaw before lunch plus act as a cold pack for other things).
cute idea- mama and kid write back and forth like pen pals... letters will be memories in the future

DIY solar food dehydrator - use the sun and avoid heating plastic!
The next time you have green onions, don't throw away the white ends. Simply submerge them in a glass of water and place them in a sunny window. Your onions will begin to grow almost immediately and can be harvested almost indefinitely.

Dip the tip of an empty Swiffer Wetjet solution bottle into boiling water for about 10 seconds and the lid twists off (use a towel). Refill with your preferred cleaning solution at appropriate dilution and re-cap.
