Barton Springs (aka 1000 ft of spring-fed natural pool action) - not the type of natural pool I am looking for, but interesting. This one really IS natural - albeit tamed by human construction, but it is fed by clear spring water, not designed and cleaned by planted biofilters.

Zambezi River, Zambia and Mozambique: The Zambezi flows 2,700 kilometers through six African countries before it spills into the Indian Ocean, allowing for a large array of ways to explore the riverside life and beauty of Africa. Although it is the fourth-largest river in Africa, it’s most popular spot by far is Victoria Falls, the world’s largest waterfalls, and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Nearly a million people visit the falls every year to witness the awe-inspiring v...

Translated into English, Pamukkale means cotton castle. When you see this magnificent natural phenomenon, there is no doubt about why. The warm limestone-laden water gushes down a 100 metre high rock face, forming small white terraces, stalactites and pools that when I was there you could lie in, but now they are protected.

Las Pozas ("the Pools") is a sculpture garden built by Edward James more than 2,000 feet (610 m) above sea level, in a tropical rain forest in the mountains of Mexico. It includes more than 80 acres (320,000 m2) of natural waterfalls and pools interlaced with towering Surrealist sculptures in concrete.

The world's first national park remains one of its finest. #Yellowstone is a natural and geological marvel, with geothermal pools and geysers sprouting up everywhere! And while that's the main draw, and what most tourists will stop to see, Yellowstone is so vast, true adventurers can hike deep into the back-country for weeks and not see it all. But remember, Grizzlies are faster than you.

The city contains hot springs and travertines, terraces of carbonate minerals left by the flowing water. It is located in Turkey's Inner Aegean region, in the River Menderes valley, which has a temperate climate for most of the year. A famous tourist attraction. You go to bath in these pools.

Pamukkale, which means ‘Cotton Castle’ in Turkish, is known as 8th world wonder.Pamukkale was formed when a spring with a high content of dissolved calcium bicarbonate cascaded over the edge of the cliff, which cooled and hardened leaving calcium deposits. This formed into great natural pools.

Las Pozas, Xilitla, Mexico Built by eccentric English poet Edward James in 1962, this Surrealist sculpture garden took more than two decades to complete and covers 80-plus acres of Mexican jungle with groovy structures like the “Stairway to the Sky,” a winding staircase you can climb up several stories—but that leads nowhere. Las Pozas also has natural waterfalls and pools

Most beautiful natural spa in the world. Thousands of years ago, earthquakes in Turkey created fractures that allowed powerful hot springs to bring water to the surface. As the water evaporated, the chalky material condensed and formed layer-upon-layer of Travertine, which slowly built up the walls over time in the same way that a stalactite forms a cake. These springs in a cliff 200 meters high were once used as a thermal spa for the ancient Turkish city of Heirapolis. People have bathed in ...

www.aquiziam.com/... SANQINGSHAN - CHINA Sanqingshan is a relatively small National Park near the city of Shangrao in the Jiangxi province of China. What it lacks in size it makes up for in shear natural beauty. It is officially the 7th World Heritage Site designated in China and has been noted for its exceptional scenic attraction. The Oarfish is a rare, solitary, and giant denizen of the ocean depths (arguably larger than a Whale Shark. (The Oarfish,17m as opposed to the Whale Shark, 12.96m in the Guinness Book of World Records.)) and is a filter feeder, comfortable cruising at depths of 200 m. Mistakenly named for its prominent pectoral oars with which it was thought to 'row', it undulates serpentlike with its dorsal fins and has been seen orienting itself vertically. tinyurl.com/7yt2lex #Oarfish #ferrebeekeeper
