if I had no children, I would make this upcycled tabletop. since I have them, we'll dream about making it when *they* start using the chopsaw. 2014?

this Tiffany blue is calling to me for my kitchen nook or dining room. soon. very soon.

disclaimer: the source seems to have disappeared. but the photo, which shows pretty clearly these people are using standard tile laying procedures to lay pennies, is enough for me. I'll blog about it if we do it... the boys would love it so!

Angela Baker You should totally do this.
this is the second curtain-under-counter photo I've loved for the kitchen. I think I'm going to do curtains all the way across! (was: Dishwasher behind curtain)
I was looking for that cool round wood stove I pinned earlier and... accidentally... found this. I think I need a board for 'things I could never possibly afford but hey! awesome!' it's 5500 euros. yes. via Treehugger: www.treehugger.co...

unused frames + those wooden box shelves from Pottery Barn I bought years ago when I was into "decorating" and are now sitting in piles around my house... maybe?

I need new curtains. I now know I'll need some fabric markers, too. a girl in search of a good front-window poem... and one for my bathroom, too! (recommendations eagerly accepted)

finally some truly gnarly (in the original sense of the word) wood used beautifully. i am very inspired, not for my kitchen (where it would be terrible), but in my nasty bedroom. & this is how obsessive I get over sources: I had to click and click and search and finally found the flickr set and this: www.designsponge.... -- not really any details on the wood or construction, but i get the idea.

I'm all for a 'recycle' project that uses something that is actually *available* and would be trash otherwise. recycled garden hose as screening (I wouldn't use it for a precious side cabinet like this though :)
finally, a way to make my dining-room dresser look like intentional art. I could do this! I'd have to put away the piles of fabric on top first, though.
