Vinegar works as a wood stain when you add a metal object in the mix and let it sit in a glass container for a week. A handful of pennies will produce a beautiful pale Caribbean blue stain. A wad of steel wool will give you a rich reddish hue. A combination of tea and a metal object in vinegar will produce a black stain.

****The "miracle" of baking soda and peroxide. Put 1/4 cup of baking soda in a bowl.....add enough peroxide to make a paste. Rub on with fingers or sponge. Cleans EVERYTHING! Stove, oven, pans, stainless steel applicances, even the white handles of the refrig door.*******

World's most effective and cheapest acne spot treatment: one un-coated aspirin tablet + 4 drops of water. Mash it up using your finger and apply to problem spots. wait a few minutes and rinse off. Works wonders at reducing redness and swelling and speeding the recovery of painful zits and pimples. Can also be used on entire face as a mask to reduce pore size and prevent acne. A bottle of generic aspirin costs around $1 and will last FOREVER!

Clever!! What a great idea to hang a picture!! Put the toothpaste where you will want the nail to go. Then, press the picture to the wall where you want to hang it so that the toothpaste from the back of your frame sticks to the wall. Why didn't I think of this? Just a great idea!!

Jacquie Real the other way involves trying to fold as is, cursing a lot while trying all different angles, finally saying $*&% it and like @Amber Matlock said, rolling it into a ball and stuffing it somewhere you don't have to look at it.

SO. FREAKING. COOL. 1/4" Mt Dew in bottle, add tiny bit of baking soda and 3 capfuls of hydrogen peroxide. Shake and it glows. Pour on sidewalk to "paint"...Who knew!?

Homemade Icepacks. This is so cool - you use plain Dawn....it doesn't freeze totally solid but like those gel packs you can buy where you contour them to your body. So neat!

Slip-proof your rug: To give an area rug some traction, flip it over, and apply lines of acrylic-latex caulk every 6 inches or so. Once dry, you can safely put down your rug; the rubbery strips will hold it in place...via Martha.

smart--New way to do "French Tip" style. Stretch a rubberband across the nail. It pulls the skin back too, so I don't get the nail polish everywhere and it's less time consuming than putting on stickers or tape on every finger.
