My aunt and I have been having a lot of fun researching our family history over the last few years. My 2nd Maternal Great Grandmother Malinda's line can pretty much be traced back...to Adam! My dear auntie looks quite a bit like Malinda, her mama's precious grandma...so, I thought this would be a cool place to gather everybody and compare names & faces!

My Maternal Grandpa's Maternal Grandfather, John W. Allmon ~ According to the person who posted this photo on Ancestry.com, they don't believe it's my gggrandpa. I, however, after zooming in on the photo of John W. & Mary, am thinking that it IS. What a fun surprise to happen upon this photo today. (The crook in his left nostril perfectly matches my JW AND my ggg's leg was severely injured in a farming accident…which is very clear in both photos)
My maternal grandpa's maternal grandparents, John W. Allmon and Mary Gardner Allmon. Yep, he has to be related to Tom Selleck, don't you think?

Robert Carradine✓ ~ It's pretty much impossible for me these days…to watch television without seeing an actor who looks like my brother, Jeff. Irish genes, I tell you! I don't know how we're related to the Robert & Keith, but I'm pretty sure they are also related to Warren Beatty and Josh Lucas.

My Maternal Grandma's Paternal Grandparents, George Edward & Martha Jane "Jennie" (Wills) w/ My Great Grandpa Roy ~ Jennie passed at a young age…as did my brother Bryan, who looked just like Roy.

My Maternal Great Grandparents, Ritta & Roy married when she was only 16. Ritta is Malinda Arilla Speakman's Daughter. Roy was primarily a German/English American.

Look closely, can you tell that Queen Elizabeth, Richard Nixon, (& Willa Cather) are cousins? My understanding is that Her Majesty directly descends from Mabel Harington, my 12th great grandmother, Theodosia Harington's sister (who is also a great grandparent of President Nixon, my grandma's 7th cousin).

John Wayne aka Marion Robert Morrison ~ May 26, 1907 - June 11, 1979 (If I recall correctly, he sits as a cousin on both sides of my mama's family tree. There's not much of a question about that as far as my grandpa is concerned. (He's my 3rd great grandpa Stephen Speakman's 11th cousin on my grandma's side, through Nicholas Pearsall.)
