MATTRESS spring cleaning:pour about 1 cup of baking soda into a mason jar and drop in 4 drops of lavender essential oil. Put on the lid and shake up the jar.Using a kitchen strainer sprinkle the baking soda mixture all over the mattress and let it sit. I leave it for an hour or more, usually the time it takes for me to finish washing all the bedding and press the bed skirt. Using the hose end of your vacuum and an upholstery attachment, thoroughly vacuum the mattress. Bye, bye dust mite...

Here's a more up close pic of it. I bought a 20x24 canvas at hobby lobby and spray painted it ivory. Then I just bought the different fabrics to match my room, and printed a flower petal template offline and cut and paste :-)

Using the hose end of your vacuum and an upholstery attachment, thoroughly vacuum the mattress. Bye, bye dust mites and other nasty things. The baking soda helps draw up any moisture and deep dirtiness. It deodorizes and leaves the mattress smelling fresh and clean. I also love the faint scent of lavender left by the essential oil.

Rebecca Someday let's learn together?! Cause it turns out the intricacies of tax law aren't much help when pants need hemming....
Christa Sodeman deal. though I must warn you, my mother did make me take sewing lessons as a child and I still can't do it... I may be a lost cause!
Rebecca Yes but did you WANT to learn it then?? I took home ec and got a 'd' on the apron sewing project. I was quite proud of that. ... Hahaha.
Christa Sodeman lol true true, I wasn't super interested. Plus my teacher insisted on using her measurements for all my projects and it was discouraging to make a dress only to find it 4x bigger than I needed!! :) Should have saved them, they'd fit me now! :) I have been looking at old sewing machines on kijiji. When I am snow bound way out in the country I might be desperate enough to give it a whirl. Or maybe we can hound Vikki for lessons! :) Bet she could make this skirt with her eyes closed!!!
hand crochet, for that chunky bedspread you want to make - can't get to source (bad pin), but wanted to save the idea to google it later!!
12 preplanned, prepaid date nights. Cute wedding/Christmas gift!

Rosemary Van Gelderen I buy 8x8 photo albums and cut out the recipe and pop it in the card spots-I have one for main dishes and one for deserts. Most recipe cards fit in as well. I put the picture in the front of the recipe so I can find it by photo not name. I also cut up my bread machine book and put into page protectors + all of my clipped bread recipes. This one is very pretty!
