Thrifty Decor Chick The layouts I've seen like this have an outlet in the floor. :) If you can add a rug there, you could hide it under the rug!

Rebecca Earnhardt I do this all the time with clients. I 'scootchy' a cord under another piece of furniture and then under an area rug. Floor outlets are ideal, just the reason for space planning a room BEFORE you are building a home. You can have so much more flexibility with the room arrangement than shoving the sofas against walls...

Sydney Holder Running electrical cords under a carpet or rug is such an inherent fire danger it should never be done for the safety of your family..
