Antique clock (Plojoux, Geneve-Montreux, ca. 1910) ~ a beautiful silver gilt and enamel, eight-day going timepiece. It is designed as a 'cheval glass' (dressing mirror suspended on pillars). The clock has powder blue flinque enamelling - flinque is a process in which transparent colored enamel is melted over an engraved or guilloché patterned surface. The clock is supported by a heraldic pair of silver gilt griffins that are fighting with serpents.
