That mean that reality occurs in our brains all the time, so the brain constantly receives information that we have not even integrated. Our eyes gather and transmit to our brain images continously, is like making a movie, first you must assemble all fittings to get the whole movie and put them together and only in the end you are able to see what you saw. So we are not able to say that what our eyes see, correspond to reality or not

Though I don't think that there's any clear right or wrong in this discussion, I do think that there is truth in saying that 'trying' dilutes intention. People often use it in a non-committed manner, i.e. 'I'll try to keep to the speed limit from now on'. Committing to 'do', whether or not there is eventual complete success attached, enables the 'doer' to fully commit to the task which in turn leads to a greater chance of success. I agree with @Beth & @Ryan Kaufman, in this context the key issue is commitment. So that's my two cents worth. Oh, and always remember that Yoda is a fictional character. That is all.
Dove Star Great comment, Laura, and I agree, "trying" is generally a weak word... My "better saying" might be something like... "Be who you are, accept all that you are, trust your own heart, even your lack of commitment at times..." Long, but, eh ;-) lol. Thing is, strangely enough, I've discovered many times that my "lack of commitment" toward something proved to be highly intuitive. If I'd followed through on my initial goal, I'd have been screwed. So, at times, "procrastination"(i.e., lack of commitment) can be a mask for wisdom. At times. Yeah, there are "old sayings" and such by fictional characters and otherwise that have merit. For sure. But they shouldn't be viewed as something "higher" than the wisdom of our own hearts. That's what we need to wake up to. Within us is the highest wisdom. Read their words, take the good per your own heart. Ultimately trust yourself. My real objective is to get people to stop putting gurus and their rules above trusting their own wisdom.
