ST. LOUIS, MO - FOUR SEASONS VOTED BEST HOTEL IN ST. LOUIS - The Four Seasons Hotel at 999 North 2nd Street on the St. Louis Riverfront was voted the best hotel in the city by U.S. News and World Report. The magazine says on its website that the ranking of the top 40 hotels in St. Louis was based on "an unbiased analysis of awards, expert recommendations and user ratings." Second on the list to the Four Seasons, which is the only five-star hotel in town, is The Ritz-Carlton, a 4.5 star hotel. In order the rest of the top 10 hotels are: The Westin St. Louis, 811 Spruce Street (a four-star hotel); The Moonrise Hotel on Delmarvelous Boulevard; the Chase Park Plaza, 212-232 North Kingshighway Boulevard (also a 4.5 star hotel); the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch, 315 Chestnut Street; the Omni Majestic Hotel, 1019 Pine Street; the St. Louis Union Station Marriott, 1820 Market Street; the Renaissance St. Louis Grand Hotel, 800 Washington Avenue; and the HoteLumiere, 901 North 1st Street, across the street and a few parking lots away from the Four Seasons.

Rancho Valencia Ranks Seventh in Nation on U.S. News List of Top Hotels. www.ranchovalenci.... The luxury Rancho Valencia resort in Rancho Santa Fe placed seventh in the nation and first in California, on the annual U.S. News & World Report ranking of the nation’s best hotels. The listing of the top 154 U.S. hospitality properties, released Jan. 31, also includes The Grand Del Mar in Carmel Valley at No. 13 and The Lodge at Torrey Pines in La Jolla at No. 141. According to the U.S. News website, rankings were based on input from industry experts, in-house consultants and hotel guest reviews. Hotels were evaluated on criteria including amenities, service and décor. The 49-suite Rancho Valencia, opened in 1989 and currently managed by Mill Valley-based Auberge Resorts, is now undergoing a $20 million renovation of villas and service areas, set for completion by summer.

The Belgraves hotel has 85 rooms and suites and bathrooms stocked with products from the luxury British line Penhaligon.
The first W Hotel in France www.starwoodhotel... will open its doors Feb. 14. The 91-room W Paris - Opera Hotel will be located in a 19th century building across from the Opera Garnier. The design will include a mix of contemporary and historical features, including original stained glass windows and mosaic floors. Other features will include a restaurant, bar and fitness center/spa, as well as meeting facilities. The property is owned by Barcelona-based equity group Meridia Capital. Other Starwood Hotels and Resorts properties in France include the Sheraton, Le Meridien, Westin and the Luxury Collection brands. Rates will start from about $474 per room.
