Inspiration for my zine, The Love City Success Story.
I like the style of the font and the skull, but I don't think what it says and what the image contains really go together. Good looking try if you don't put to much thought into it though.

I like this a lot. Especially the one of the left. It's bold, classy & I like the photo being left justified.

Black & white film is the only proper way to make a photo like this.
Maybe not quite right for my zine, but I could take some inspiration from this for my All My Friends Are Monsters project.

Next zine is going to be more mellow, like this. Also, I gotta get my current zine out so I can stop saying "next zine."

This is beautiful. Also, have I mentioned that I might be buying a printing press this summer? Truth.

Design by Julie Rousset. Killing it. This makes me want to print in b&w +1 color. Super interesting design.

"These are probably the cookies I'm making for @Trevor Christensen in exchange for building my site. (Along with compliments on-demand for his whole life.)" The site isn't even that good. . .

Emily Brown Well. I'll make the cookies proportionally good in relation to the site. Satisfied?
Trevor Christensen No. I was satisfied back when they were going to be good. If those cookies were proportionally good in relation to the quality of your site, they wouldn't have any sugar, or be cooked, or be cookies.
I want to shoot more stuff like this for my zine. I don't think nuance belongs in that form. It's all about bold, dramatic imagery.

I like the variations on a theme here. Three pictures, a standard header.
Page from The Art of Looking Sideways + essay I wrote about font nerds titled "Shut the Font Up."
