Brigit Hartop I think the point here is the nutritional value of these foods as wonderful snacks and the fact that they are not empty calories, they provide vitamins, fiber, boost your metabolism, etc.. People do not get fat eating fruits and veggies. :) Great list of delicious snacks Kathy!
Kathy Hackman Hutchison Thank you Brigit...Mitzy I am a person who lived almost my entire life very overweight..I yo -yoed for years....until I started eating right...I lost 85 lbs...and have kept it off for about 6 yrs now!!! I KNOW what calories in and calories out mean...I also know that certain foods require the body to use more energy to digest(burn them)...upping your metabolism...These are good foods that everyone should be eating...Including carrots...moderation applies to all things:)

Kathy Hackman Hutchison Thank you...after I wrote that I thought about something though,,I kinda fibbed a little,,,last year was a crummy physical year,, so I was not as active as I had been ,,so did regain some weight,,,but I am working hard again and I will get it off...if I can keep these old joints going:) One of the downfalls of being overweight and having a job that require me to stand all day, and during holidays...16hr days..So I am a perfect example of what weight can do to joints...I was always very active, thankfully...I would have far more problems if I had not been...If I could do it,,,,anybody can...kick sugar...(my heroin)
Removing Strawberry stems with a straw...and then I would squeeze a little whipped cream in there:)

Squirrelgrrrl I'd go with boneless skinless thighs, every time I've cooked breasts in the crock pot, they've turned to cardboard. Even the bone-in ones.
