Oil cleansing method. Combine equal parts castor oil and extra virgin olive oil for normal skin, 3 parts castor oil and 1 part extra virgin olive oil for oily skin, or 1 part castor oil to 3 parts extra virgin olive oil for dry skin. Massage into face. Steam with a hot (not scalding, obvs) washcloth for about a minute, then wipe off with a warm wet washcloth. This leaves skin clean and healthy based on the principle that oil dissolves oil. Click through for more info.

Grace I used to use DHC products about 15 years ago and they are basically the commercial version of this principle -- oil as a cleanser. I thought they worked, but got lazy and cheap and then later switched to Dr. Hauschka products, which I like (but are even more expensive). This is very affordable and I might give it a try.
Melody Lisa I do this some times. And some times I forget, but I always love it when I do it! It makes my skin glow. I use almond oil that I infused with lavender from my garden.
I love cat-eye eyeliner. I do it everyday, although not this thick.

1 part coconut milk, to 2 parts liquid castille soap (I use Dr. Bronner's) makes an awesome, silky smooth lathering SHAMPOO. Combine it with the vinegar rinse for gorgeous, soft, eco-friendly hair.

do you think i could pull this look off on a daily basis? like, you know, while perusing facebook and pinterest, taking my kids to swim team & swimming lessons and classes, going to the grocery store, etc?

Sarah Jackson umm, totally. Me, not so much.
Kate Conklin Most definitely! I myself like to sport the smoulder eye whilst cleaning toilets and ironing. Honestly, if I tried to do this to myself, I would look like I'd gone a couple rounds with Mike Tyson.
Crystal Wood Trosper I say yes. Please report back on how it goes.
Imene Said Kouidri Oh no problem. I could pull it off while wearing my silky dress and 9 inch pumps driving my kids to school and cooking and cleaning ;o)
Grace I really like it and I want to figure out how to do it. I mean, I think I could theoretically do it. :) I don't have the big eyes that you do, though, @Imene Said Kouidri
Fetching pins…
Martha That darn turquoise & caicos is sold out everywhere, and I want it!
Grace I want Cute as a Button!
Grace If I find Turquoise & Caicos, I'll send it to you, though.
Martha That would be terrific, thanks! They're remodeling our Target, and I'm hoping they'll restock it once that's finished in a month. Cute as a Button looks just like you.
