I kind of love this stage / bandshell constructed from pallets. At The Foundry (beer garden) in Dallas, where shipping containers are used as lounging areas (with mismatched second-hand furniture), old crates are new lamps, and empty beer cans are filled with plants. What do you think of this pallet repurposing -- furnishing a media room. Books, magazines, and other items can be stored in the pallets' open sides. The seating faces a screen that's framed by wall-mounted pallets that are also painted white. Well done, isn't it?

In this quick, low-budget, DIY remodeling job, the owners made a new kitchen backsplash by taking apart a pallet, then scrubbing the wood and cutting it into 18”-long segments. (This links to a post with how-to / DIY info.)

The owners also built kitchen cupboards and window coverings from pallet wood, and used wood salvaged from scaffolding to construct another bed and closet, among other things.
