Bee Research - During the last 3 years, University of Nebraska scientists Drs. Marion Ellis, Blair Siegfried, Reed Johnson and graduate student Lizette Dahlgren have been funded as collaborators in a USDA Conservation Activity Plan (CAP) grant to investigate unexplained losses of honey bee colonies that have been given the name “Colony Collapse Disorder.” The goal of the research is to provide sustainable solutions to introduced bee diseases and pests.
