John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Bouvier. The quintessential wedding picture of maybe the most iconic couple in American history. In real life shooting a couple exiting the church is not always easy, but here the light is magic - the sun behind coming down on them and light bouncing back from some reflective surface to the left. The low angle shooting angle is great both to hide clutter and enhance the "iconic" feel - we are literally and figuratively looking up to them.

Roberto Valenzula Holy moly, this might just be THE perfect picture. Gorgeous light, the dress is perfect, so is their "pose" looks like they were caught mid-stride, so there is a sense of movement. And the dust from the road catching the light, wow. The genius aspect is the composition. . .normally you would see this shot looking straight down the road, but it is more interesting at this angle. Great diagonals and repeating elements with the trees. Love the tree on the right too!

Irving Penn - Genius portrait - take a guess as to who this is, if you click through the picture you'll find the answer on a link. A detail can sometimes say more about a person than the full picture.
Linda Christian, 1949 Action + Elegance = Awesome! Stellar picture - the window light hitting the bride is perfect, her head is exactly on the top-left third of the frame, the ladies in black, each hard at work are a great juxtaposition to her calm manner. I love the bride's strong arms, hands, and face as well!

erin chrisman This is one of my very favorite pictures ever. We were fortunate to travel to Mongolia a few years ago, and I was so excited to see these mind-blowing wedding images. Really captures the spirit of the place, huge skies & horses. Totally brilliant composition, I love just the sliver of earth.

Marvelous, marvelous light. Why not get super-close. . .and who says the bride has to be staring at the camera? Full of emotion and atmosphere!

The bamboo forest is one of my favorite places ever. . .I love the way the light filters through the trees. How cool were these guys to journey there on their wedding day!

Julie Kisela Gorgeous!
Brilliant idea. . .kind of like where's Waldo with the bride and groom.
To everything there is a season. . .what stands out to me about this is that where I live, it's only possible to take this picture during the winter when the sun is low enough in the sky to give nice light hours before sunset. I love, love, love winter light!

Deceptively simple, but it has awesome lines. . .the v points to the groom, and the bar he's holding takes your eye around the frame. I promise, this looks like a snapshot, but takes a genius eye to see something like this.

Marcus Bell is a GENIUS! Old, simple trick. . .have the bride looking toward the light, even if it is coming from an unusual source, like a skylight or high window. I like the groom walking, kinda cool.
Sweet light and bokeh, can't wait to see how this looks in their album.

Love the back of this dress...love @unpluggedphotography more! Simple, classic picture - I love the sense of motion and that she's not dead center of the frame. . .and @jennadyar for pinning it:)

Ahhhmazing wedding venue. I love that they opened the barn doors just a bit to let light in on the couple.

engagement great leading lines, great emotion, classic pose and clothes, happy accident with the camera settings that makes it a little bit blurry. . .we did a 16x24 print for their wedding that looked amazing:)

Sandra I have to say this is one of my absolute favorite photos you guys have taken over the years. So beautiful!
Great first kiss! The crowd makes this moment - they're the clue that this is a spontaneous moment during a real wedding ceremony. This is what you live for as a wedding photog - couples that will display love an exciting, tangible way.

WOW. . .love the light through the mist, the warm light of the barn with the blue of the sky, the couple's stance (it's cool that they're leaning into each other, but not looking at each other. . .it's a more candid-looking moment), and the man inside staring at them completes the picture. Brilliant!

Shallow depth of field is amazing, and I won't begin to describe how impossible this picture is to take. I'm assuming this is a 50 1.2 and dead sharp focus on a moving bubble. . .sweetness.

I love the sense of balance in this picture, and it might be a little too symmetrical except for the bird. . .LOVE the bird. I also LOOOOOVE pictures with the ground cropped out of the frame. . .
Yeah! There's an old adage, if you're pictures are boring, you're not close enough. So intimate and passionate, love it!! p.s. it takes SO much trust to share a moment like this with a photographer.

Wow. . .reflections galore. I wish there was a little emotion/connection going on with the couple, but the background is brilliant.
Shooting through translucent material is awesome. . .no idea what this was, maybe a screen door, but the texture is wicked-awesome.

Great pictures make you do a double-take. . .or triple take. . .I'm still not sure I totally understand what is actually happening but I love it. The lines are great. . .the repeating "elements" (the flower girls) are awesome . Fascinating scene.

Niiiice reflection! Great lines, framing, sepia tone. . .this is what you see if you lay on the ground with your camera:) If you cropped the left and right sides to make a vertical panorama and printed as a 10x30, this would be spectacular.

brilliant idea. . .flashlight lighting up the sand to create a silhouette. . .love the composition, empty space, & blue and orange tones.

Happy, romantic moment. I love that it's a little bit out of focus, it adds to the mood.

Yep, I definitely have a love affair with huge old trees. The branch hangs down and the trunk merges with the shadow to make the perfect frame for a couple. . .definitely the sort of place you want to hang out and kiss for a bit:)

Rainy nights make for great pictures. Movie productions will often hose down streets before shooting to get the killer wet pavement look!

I love a groom with facial hair. . .and glasses look distinguished.
Great composition, the trees circling the bride & groom. Would look fantastic as a huge print
Fetching pins…
Daniel/Kelli Taylor Photography I hope this is a compliment, because it's how I mean it. This looks like something Unplugged would shoot. Seriously.
