This Is Where I Live

Photos from the region known as the Black Forest (German: Schwarzwald) in Southern Germany... this is, indeed, where I live. Our region has a beautiful landscape, ranging from forests to mountains to lakes and streams. We also have wonderful Swabian food, including the famous Black Forest cake (Schwarzwalder Kirschtorte).

Eva S. Yes, it's specific to this part of Southwestern Germany! They are very good, usually served in broth or pan fried with egg.
