An egg-shaped basket with interwoven blue silk ribbons hinges open to reveal a well-fitted interior of blue silk and lace edging, containing an all-bisque doll with painted features, blonde mohair wig, peg-jointed limbs, painted shoes and socks, wearing beautiful long original lace Christening gown and bonnet, along with an assortment of original accessories including rattles, pacifier, puff, brush, bib, and more. Excellent condition. For the French market, circa 1890, rare and beautifully-preserved arrangement.
