very hungry caterpillar bunting sack + hat = an adorable baby gift with the book.
{Eric Carle Activities} They used paper strips to create the links of the caterpillars body and decorated a giant leaf for it to sit on. I thought it was cute that they punched holes in the leaf to show the caterpillars little nibbles.
On Saturday, He ate through an ice-cream cone {very hungry caterpillar} Birthday Party!

Fetching pins…
Kate Nancarrow Wonderful! This reminds me of the time I hastily created a Book Week Costume for my then preppie, the Night Before. After a loooong day and drive. I cut the top off an old pair of white tights, a bit of the leg tops left, knotted to make the 'antennae' hand-coloured with textas (complex-sounding, yet easiest at the time...I may have opened the textas and smooched the ink tube around a bit...I'd probably use clothing dye or food colouring, in retrospect, with a candle wax block out for the eyes) I whizzed it around in the clothes dryer, to heat set the colours. AND then I wrapped him an conveniently/fortuitously coloured Granny Blanket and tied him with thick ribbons at intervals! Hehehe - sounds mad now, the poor boy's balance must have been seriously at great peril. BUT....the wonderful thing is he WON! A voucher to spend at the local newsagent, which he made last for weeks, buying little bits here and there. So old skool! The staff kept an 'account for him! *sigghhh* cute memory. Adore this particular board, Wee Birdy!
