makeover by www.LivingInsideO... found this (working!) old lamp covered in decades of dust in client's packhouse... a good scrub'n and she's the perfect lamp and ambiance for this porch... added a few strings of old necklaces (easily changed seasonally and when I come in with new themes)... old vases/pots and pretty flowers EZ to care for... ta! da!

from porch makeover by www.LivingInsideO... this was a cheap find in thrift store and just a PERFECT little touch on this porch for this family... i also keep my eyes out for these kinds of goodies here, there and everywhere and throw in my stash... or use in my own home for a while then pass it on to a client to enjoy!

makeover by www.LivingInsideO... another view of old day bed found in packhouse... thrift store blue blanket with an unfinished quilt 'throw'... old junk table to the right covered with vintage linens... old blue (FUNctional) lantern from my stash of stuff i buy and keep for moments like this... client loves clocks, thus that big one standing there in the back... doesn't really 'match' everything else but made it work since it was a 'must' per client. see other shots of this makeover on my board

makeover by www.LivingInsideO... this window looks inside the den by owner's recliner so wated to do something attractive from both sides and not block the light... this old piece of baby bed holds old finds for lighting votive candles for enjoying nights on the porch... the window treatment is some sort of small table runner/tablecloth... draped the string lights client already had out there and added a couple of cute signs... i also use this bed frame for a Christmas "tree" during the holidays too (see other pictures on my board) (pic keeps going sideways!) :(
Makeover by www.LivingInsideO... i picked up some vintage bingo cards from my FAV place (SuzAnna's in Raleigh)... added a jar of black and white dried beans for playing bingo... and a basket of sparklers for the girls at this house... and a vintage book or two age appropriate for them to read that also complement the theme/decor!

this old bench (with a nasty carpeted seat) was just sitting out near the bard... added fun skirt i had made with mismatched fabrics that complement each other... i have lots that can be changed seasonally... just attach strip of velcro to help hold in place... do same on my porch with an old metal chaise... i keep my eyes out at thrift and goodwill stores for inexpensive pillows for these projects... don't want to spend a lot outside and if/when the pillows are wearing out from the elements, they can be replaced from my 'pillow closet'...i find pillows from .25 to a few dollars

porch makeover by www.LivingInsideO... much of what I used for their projects came from old barns and packhouse...client was so surprised to see this old lamp...said 'OMG, that old thing was in our first apartment in college'... i hung some vintage necklaces/bracelets around it, dusted off the shade and added some fringe, that table cover was an old skirt of mine (before i lost 130 lbs.)...that metal stool and tin were in the barn...just added in some silk flowers to the green plant for splashes of color
