A powerful & *fascinating* look at why "feminism" is not optional. <-- I say that only because I once thought it was.

Girlfriendology.com Online Community for Women @Wendy Piersall Thx for sharing. Wow. Disturbing and powerful. Posted on Girlfriendology for our featured video too.
Bridget Callahan Thanks so much for posting this. What a great compiliation of thoughts, ideas, and statistics.
The Treaty of Tripoli signed in 1797 states: “As the Government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquillity, of Musselmen (Muslims); and as the said States never have entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mahometan nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harm...

Adlib Corner We typically tip 15% on the low side and more for really great service. Always ask if the waitress has to split her tips (common practice) with the server who delivers, bus boys etc. If so, we tip more based on that alone.
Between the second quarter of 2009 and the fourth quarter of 2010, corporate profits captured 88% of the growth in real national income while worker wages and salaries accounted for only slightly more than 1% of the growth in real national income. <-- This makes me want to cry.

Kayla Tibbs http://jimcgreevy.com/gvdc/... try a website that actually backs it up by facts
Wendy Piersall Indeed, let's look at some facts :) http://www.washingtonmonthl...
Chelsea Jackson Don't know what to tell ya. Facts are facts. I posted non-biased facts. But everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
Andrea Memenas What am I missing? All of these links say the same thing - that republicans are the ones to blame for our debt (I do not disagree, btw). Chelsea, that's what you're link says too and I got the feeling you were trying to make the opposite point...
Andrea Memenas That said, the graph above is slightly misleading. As a % of income, the giving may be high, which is commendable, but Mitt's income is in the multi-millions. In real dollars, he may be giving much more.
If it was fair to ask if Sarah Palin should be running for VP as mom of a special needs child, is it also fair to ask if Rick Santorum should be running for president as the dad of a special needs child?

Kim Dushinski Yes it is fair, but it likely won't get asked because he is the dad, not the mom. Dislike that.

Dave Taylor no society has ever been truly egalitarian, Wendy. It's not a sustainable organization...
Donnaka Sking that may be true, but there's a continuum and it's way on the end away from egalitarianism - I'd like it nudged closer to that.
You don't get to pick and choose which of "God's Words" should be followed. It makes you a hypocrite.
