The path to the river is the longest, the one I travel the slowest. I want to take note of what grows here, so fertile and wet, so open and easy.

I wonder. If I go South my heart will be filled with the colors and spice and sticky air. If I go North I'll enter the sweet spot of green and soil, cool air and mountain highs. But if I go west? I'll see the sea.
