Coming soon to Amazon for Kindle ~ Devon's Curse ~ Successful author, Devon McKinley, had learned to live with her ability to see the others, she had learned to live with the dead and how to avoid the living. This brilliant, troubled 27-year-old is as deep, restless and sometimes dangerous as the ocean itself. Drowning in his bipolar disorder since childhood, he’s been on and off medication for years—and on and off self-medication with illegal drugs just as long. He’s spent his last dime on a month’s supply of Oxycontin and his mental and physical health is at an all-time low ebb. Fleeing his complex relationships with both the man and the woman he loves, he washes up on the shore of the one person who can help him kick the habit, get into treatment for his mental illness, and get his life back on an even keel, his mother Maura.

Another great book by Jeannette Walls

Lanette Carey Love this book!

Perfect for understanding the challenges someone with a substance use disorder and a mental illness may face in recovery.

GREAT read. Short bios of very famous, very tortured creative souls. Those of us who can relate to mental illness, whether our own battle or someone we know, will appreciate the thoughts the author has on the "creative struggle."

The Dark Side of Innocence: Growing Up Bipolar. by Terri Cheney (wonderful book for people with bipolar)
