HURTS MY HEART AND SOUL

The title of this board basically says it all....any of the pins or re-pins on here affect me, touch me in some way, and although my intent is not to make anyone sad or uncomfortable when looking at them, I just want to acknowledge them.

Margaret Hull Still makes my heart hurt and my stomach sick.

At a time when $700 billion can be found overnight to bail out the richest bankers in the world and $1000 billion can be spent on one single “war,” when sovereign wealth funds in a few rich countries alone are at $2500 billion and growing, it stretches credulity when we are told that the world can’t find an extra $18 billion a year to save the lives of millions of children and women and meet the basic needs of the majority of the world’s population.” - Global Director, U.N. Millennium Campai...

This badly damaged American flag was found by a recovery worker in the World Trade Center debris at the Staten Island recovery site. Lynn Thaxter Me toooo Wendy! My Dad has been gone 24 years. Never will stop missing him till I see him again!

This really bothers me, that some people are still not waking up to the fact that using their cell phones, especially for texting while driving, kills and maims others. When will they finally get it.....

This picture makes me so sad, to think that these people were so exploited because of their different looks or their mental illness.

Wife Sleeps Along Side The Casket Of Her Husband…A Fallen U.S. Marine. This pregnant woman, requested that she be able to sleep along side her husband one last time, before his burial. In the photo here, the night before the burial of her husband 2nd Lt. James Cathey of the United States Marine Corps, killed in Iraq, Katherine Cathey refused to leave the casket, asking to sleep next to his body for the last time. The Marines made a bed for her, tucking in the sheets below the flag. Before she fell asleep, she opened her laptop computer and played songs that reminded her of “Cat.” The Marines, per her request, stood guard the entire time she slept there along side her fallen hero. This photo should remind all Americans of the sacrifices so many young men and women have made and continue to make for our GREAT country. It should further remind us of all the sacrifices families have made or make while their loved ones fight for our Freedom. …. saw this on FB, and i cried…. HAD to reblog ♥

Honestly, what is wrong with our world? Why can't we change this? Sometimes I just get so frustrated and angry that I have to close my ears and eyes...but only for a moment.

Stop all eating disorders. It is one of those things I don't understand, but I know that there are people who didn't understand my agoraphobia either, but they still loved, supported and helped me through it, thank God. Please reach out and help someone in need, even if you can't understand what they're going through.
