One thing I am very passionate about is reading to children, and fostering a love and passion for reading in children from the earliest possible age. As an Education Assistant and Early Literacy Tutor for more than twenty years, it was one of my favourite parts of my job, teaching children to read. As a mother, I started reading to my children before they were born, which some people may find strange but I had read somewhere that it was never too early to begin. Our house has always been filled with books, and it is one of my favourite things to give as gifts to everyone. I love childrens books, and even though my four kids are all grown now, I can hardly wait til the grandbabies start arriving so I can read to them!

In my humble opinion, there is no greater gift you can give your children than teaching them how to read and then surrounding them with tons and tons of books!!!!

Robert Munsch is so great, we have read all his books over the years, and one day I will read them to my grandbabies(I hope).
There is no greater sight to behold than to see a child with a book in their little hands, and to see the wonder and joy in their little faces.....
