Sonic the Hedgehog meets Indiana Jones. Easier to control on the iPhone, but still fun on the iPad

Costs $6.99, but you'll occasionally find it on sale near holidays for around $2.99. Probably a good 24 hours of gaming fun before you beat every level and mode.

Just download it...I don't need to sell you on this one.

I don't ever cook, but if I did, I'd use the Epicurious app for recipes.

The only thing that makes the Kindle App for iPad vs. an actual Kindle is the size and weight of the iPad (much clunkier and heavier). My gut is a smaller iPad 3 or iPad 4 would rule out needing to own both an iPad and Kindle.

Movie trailers. Movie times. Movie reviews (via RottenTomatoes). Movies!

If scores is all you need. No videos, only landscape (or hotdog style) configuration. Slow loading. Battery draining. Otherwise lame app beyond the power of scores.

If you know TED, download the app without hesitation, NOW. If you don't know TED, imagine a free Netflix app featuring talks from all the inspirational, entrepreneurial and brilliant minds of our time.

Stay diversified. Real time stock quotes, financial news, and even clips from CNBC shows including Fast Money, Mad Money, etc...

YouTube on iPad blocks almost all music videos. So if you still like watching music vids, Vevo (meh, app) is the only way you can do it reliably on the iPad.

In 2000, I bought books on Amazon. In 2004 I started ordering electronics on Amazon. In 2011, I added toilet paper and kitchenware into the mix. For the ultimate at-home shopper, just do it all on the iPad App. The one-click (tap?) purchase options are nice too.

If you actually like Gilt and prefer Apps over .com's, the iPad app is an equally easy-to-use option.

No native iPad App yet, but you can still run the iPhone version. Will make due for now :-\

Not as pretty as Flipboard or Zite. But better organization and usability vs. old school RSS readers. Pick your favorite websites and get them sorted and organized via Pulse.

Bamboo Paper: Hands down, best free app for sticky notes, sketching, and 'whiteboarding' on your iPad.

The first iPad app to pioneer flipping and usability for a new age. With that said, not much new since then. Still a nice app to sort and read through your favorite web content, Facebook, Twitter and other things.

Your personal notebook in the cloud. Cost a few bucks for decent space, but if you like keeping ledgers or detailed notes, a nice way to keep them synced where ever you go.

Tupac vs. Biggie? Dropbox vs. Box? Both are excellent cloud solutions and both offer lots of free space. Try both, choose the one that floats your boat best.

Pandora Internet Radio. Ever since multi-tasking, having Pandora stream in the background is a delight for all.

Take that #Zynga! A nice independent married couple put together the fast growing Free iPad app in the store!

$2.99 Paid App. But for you tower defense nerds, the best graphical and most challenging tower defense/strategy game on the iPad.

Ad Supported: Free, Ad-Less: $0.99. Hands down, best social game if your friend's are on it.

Same comment as the Facebook App, ibid.

There *used* to be a day where Facebook.com > Any Facebook App. Not any more, it's a no-brainer.

Definitely a must have if you use your iPad for anything work related. Files, music, videos, documents all shared in the 'cloud' between your phones, computers, tablets and browsers.

Possibly the best customizable iPad news reader and content suggestion. Ease of flipboard, but top notch recommendations.
