Near the border of the Southern woods lives a young witch called Netta, who keeps a tiny herd of fluffy hens in her pen. The most peculiar rooster wasn't something she ever planned to have join her little family, but he turned out to be one of the best things that had pranced into this farm in a long while. Helps the witch even pick up berries while keeping an eye on her hens. ^v^
Netta watching as the nightly rain falls, almost certain there was something else moving outside in the dark woods. As for the most peculiar rooster she's holding in her arms, usually Netta never allows animals inside the hut but the poor bird got very sick and she took him inside for nurturing. It could've been nothing that woke the witch up in the middle of the night, but she is waiting for a certain someone to come back from a long journey.
The young witch Netta has noticed her peculiar rooster sometimes sneaks indoors in the middle of the night and nests on her bed or even in the warm fireplace, where his talons turn the same color as the flickering flames. This time she didn't mind but found some comfort from the living hot water bottle. Later Netta named the rooster Ember (Kekäle).
