People have various theological views...these are views that seemingly haven't been thought out. Let the debates begin...
Perhaps one issue with this is the assumption that God acts upon the world. So, what if someone never gets back up "from nothing?" Questions of theodicy...

sarah if you've ever prayed when times are good and not just bad, you;d see how quickly he answers you . what you dont understand is He IS real. and alive. how do I know. invite love (God) into your life and see the difference He can make compared to what you are doing with your life. these posters are sad sometimes because they aren't complete and make God look bad. i will pray about your understanding .

Kimberly Danielsson Yikes.... I thought someone said he was a kind and loving god??
sarah I have to admit though everything in my life has made me a better person. how do I know ? because i am more patient kind value my and others lives more, etc. I am also more compassionate. I am wiser than yesterday. how do i know? because i know what it is to lose someon in death from a very early age till now. My accident has caused mme to be more aggressive in what I want out of life, etc. Think about it
sarah its not that God sends it , its that he helps you with it all.
Henry Velez Hmm.. try passing off this platitude to a woman who has just been raped. Not gonna fly. No, this is a fallen world and it's filled with wicked people. What do those people do?.. they feed off of victims is what they do. The Bible says, "A wise man sees danger and hides himself.". We're supposed to be "wise as serpents, gentle as doves.". It seems people have only focused on the 'doves' part because it made them feel good. We need to keep alert, vigilant.. not against metaphorical ghosts and demons.. but from real wicked idiots who would stab us for $8 or just the sheer fun of it. When I count up the misery I've known in this life.. the list of it caused by God or demons is very short. Most of it was due to bad motives.. either mine or someone else's. So to lay all this on God's side and say that He sent it is not only ignorant.. but insulting.
sarah I agree with u Henry. its' not what happens to you its' what u do with it. I had to learn to trust touch again, trust the male species, etc.. I have a sin nature in me too. Experiening the sin nature in others, is a reminder that if not for God there go I. But now I have a helper, My Father in heaven wants good things for me. If God was taken out of this world, All goodness (unconditional love, mercy, etc.) would be gone. People would follow their evil nature 100%. People would only see their needs. We are to be givers, not takers...entreat others as we would have them treat us. Jesus is the biggest giver. He gave his life. It's a good thing to follow Him. Eerything is either a stepping stone or a stumbling block... its all in how you see it.. we either follow our sin nature or follow God. those are our choices. .. . our world like Henry said, is lost without Him..
Well...really?

Jairu O. I read the title a couple times because I didnt understand it. IF God by his permissive will allows you to arrive at a certain place, will He not also take you through it? How is that bad theology?
sarah its not god who brings you to it. please take into account the ignorance of the people posting them because they leave alot out for a person who is ignorant of what the bible actually says. there is bith good and bad in the world and you are in the middle of them making a choice which thought you are going to run with today knowing full well it will program your tomorrows.
Henry Velez Another way of seeing the error in this is to look at the prequalfier, 'IF'. I can agree with Khailil that IF it was God's Will to bring you to a specific time and place, His will will not and cannot be frustrated. However, and herein lies the 'tension' between God's Will and Man's Will.. IF it is a person's active choice to do a thing or be at a place.. there will be consequences. As an example, it can be said with a good amount of agreement that taking heroin or meth is not God's will for His children. But it is also possible that a person of faith may stray and choose to take Meth. The resulting addiction is "not God who brought them to it". The addiction is the consequence of making poor, in not downright rebellious, decisions. Will God get them through it? Depends on your definition. That person may end up in prison for a lengthy time. That person may die of a Meth overdose. There's no guarantee that God will clean up every mess we get ourselves into.
Thierry Emmons But isn't it great we have a resource bigger than ourselves to go to when we screw up!
Fetching pins…
Jairu O. God acts upon faith and "nothing-ness". God made everything from nothing so until a man is and has nothing in himself, God cando nothing with him. I think you are somehow seeing these in the wrong light? I see what you're saying but I had to think deeper into it than what its actually saying to find that conclusion
sarah if you took the time to even just proverbs you would see that the majoity of these posts are just peoples thoughts, not truths.
sarah to read proverbs i meant to say , sorry
Henry Velez Just because God made 'something out of nothing' in the beginning is no reason to think He -always- does so. Look at Woman.. He didn't make her from 'nothing'.. He used Adam's rib. Look at rainbows.. at one time they did not exist, then they did.. yet God didn't change the laws of physics to make rainbows.. He simply changed the weather. It is more accurate to say, "God is up to something.. always." But maybe that's not 'catchy' enough for a net-image or bumper-sticker attention span.
