Kathy Day I totally agree some polyesters will wear down the parts in you machine after time
Zede's Sewing The Aerolock thread is really nice, fine, smooth polyester. We love it. But no matter the fiber content, I think that the amount of lint and glue in the thread is what can wear down a machine. That's why it's nice to have a long fiber (whether cotton or poly), so that there's less glue and less lint!
