Oh, those eyes are what I first saw when I entered Winn Dixie, and then the colors hit me in the face. Valentine's Day wasn't good to them, in fact, I think they all must feel unloved. Struck me as funny, then sad, then a great photo opt.

This is a lesson I must learn, to silence the negative self talk I hear so often and give rise to the voice inside me that says, "Yes, I Can!!" If I hope at all to move toward progress, this is a challenge I must conquer. I MUST stuff a sock in the mouth of the lazy self talk voice. Today I chose to spend some time with this, to let it burn enough and sink in. This image is my reminder...it will live on my mirror.

Living a life with chronic pain causes me to stay surrounded by objects that remind me of just that....pain. They are markers of relieving pain, but can also be items that cause pain depending on their use. I decided to look for the beauty in the every day object today rather than what they remind me of. This image is an abstract of pills that were actually white and orange, but through the use of Picnik in Google+ I changed the heat. Love how "glowing" they turned out.

Ardith Goodwin I have had 24 surgeries, but about 19 have been orthopedic. My lower back and neck are fused, both ankles have been reconstructed, and my right knew is partially replaced. I also ended up with a spinal chord injury called Arachnoiditis which there is no treatment for. Despite all that I live an incredible, blessed life, but I am surrounded by so many things that are reminders of the medical path I am on. Trying to find the beauty in even that.
Today was my mom's birthday and one of my dear Auburn friends gave me this coat because she couldn't bear wearing the Bama Houndstooth anymore. My mom love it, especially with her Bear Bryant hat! Such a wonderful day celebrating the gift of her life today!

Christina Yates It's a tablet you put in a glass of water (I like to use hot water from the tap) and let it dissolve. Then drink it. :) It has lots of vitamin C and antioxidants. 'Very Berry' is quite tasty too.

{If you could own anything.....a plane - Papa Nelson} My mother told me that her father loved flying. I can remember being little and Papa renting a small plane (probably a crop duster but it felt like a jet) to take his grandchildren on a ride. I remember it to be red. It's always a nice story to share when flying (especially when it's the size of a Pringles can - distraction!).
